House clearance service

House clearance across Newbury and West Berkshire

Whether you need one part of a home cleared or the whole property prepared for its next stage, we make the scope, timing and likely cost easy to understand before work begins.

Start your estimate

A clearance planned around the property

Every property is different. A furnished flat with restricted access needs a different plan from a detached house with a garage, loft and garden. We start with the details that materially affect the job, rather than making you complete a long questionnaire.

Photographs are usually the fastest starting point. They help us understand volume, access, bulky items and any areas needing special care. If something is unclear, we ask only the questions needed to refine the estimate.

What can be included

  • Furniture, general household contents and boxed possessions
  • White goods and appliances, subject to access and safe disconnection
  • Garages, lofts, sheds and outbuildings when included in the scope
  • Individual rooms, partial clearances or whole properties
  • Separation of clearly identified items that must remain

Responsible handling

Contents are assessed for the most appropriate route. Our public service is centred on careful handling, reuse, recycling, donation and authorised disposal routes where appropriate. Any unusual, hazardous or specialist items should be identified before the job so they can be handled correctly.

Check the business and scope before you book

The House Clearance Family is a trading name of Berkshire Property Renovations Limited, company number 14388243. Before any waste-removal work is booked, ask us for the current carrier details and check the business name, registration number and upper-tier status on the official Environment Agency register. GOV.UK tells householders using a private house-clearance service to select upper tier when checking the register.

A clear booking should also identify every room and outside area included, anything that must remain, difficult items, access assumptions, exclusions, VAT and the condition required at handover. Photographs can support an initial range, but a person confirms the final scope, price and date before work is booked.

House clearance or skip hire?

A skip can suit a gradual clear-out when you have suitable space, enough time and people who can safely do the lifting and loading. The skip provider should confirm which materials are accepted and whether placement on a public road needs permission.

A clearance service may be more practical when a whole property must be emptied, bulky contents need carrying, nobody is available to load a skip, or a sale, tenancy or estate deadline is involved. Send photographs of the property, contents and access so we can help you compare the options against the real scope rather than bedroom count or skip size alone.
